Pembrey Country Park
Over 500 acres of woodland and parkland not forgetting over 7 miles of golden, sandy, Blue Flag beach. Pembrey Country Park has lots to explore and activities to enjoy. Mini Golf, Ski Centre, Toboggan Ride, Cycle Hire, Adventure Trails, Children's Playground, Miniature Railway, Laser Tag and High Ropes activities. Look out for shipwrecks along the beach! Mostly wheelchair and pushchair friendly except through some of the forest trails. Beach wheelchairs are available for hire (book in advance - 01554 834443 ). Toilets, restaurant and beach café. Events held throughout the year. Pay for parking on exit from the park (walk and cycle into the park for free). No dogs on the beach between 1st May and 30th September although there is a dog friendly route to the beach, follow the signs from car park 1. RNLI Lifeguards on patrol usually from the beginning of July.

Pembrey is close to National Cycle Network's Route 4.
Singleton Park, Swansea
An extremely popular park with residents and tourists alike. Over 250 acres of vast open parkland and mature woodland highlighted by its colourful botanical gardens. Plenty of open space for recreational activities including walking and cycling paths. Managed by Swansea City Council the park hosts community events, concerts and festivals throughout the year. Wheelchair and pushchair friendly although there are some gentle slopes. Dogs welcome on a lead. Toilets. Parking at the Recreation Ground car park (see map below). Limited disabled parking off the Gower Road entrance, near the Botanic Gardens. Don't forget to visit the Boating Lake, children's play area and pub just a short distance along the A4067 to the south of Singleton Park and, of course, the smaller Brynmill Park to the east, with wildfowl lake, play area, toilets and Discovery Centre.
