Ynysdawela Nature Park, nestled in the beautiful Upper Brynamman valley, is a place where nature and history exist side by side. Ancient woodlands, meadows and the gentle sound of the river Amman offer the perfect escape from modern life. Free parking nearby.
Ynysdawela supports an impressive range of wildlife such as bats, birds, invertebrates and butterfly. Enjoy tranquil walks and wildlife watching in beautiful woodland scenery. A former industrial site, the area has been transformed over time into the rich biodiverse habitat that exists today. Ancient oak trees and new woodland species echo the constant sound of the gently flowing river Amman, the park has an unspoilt peaceful character, perfect for a gentle stroll along its leafy corridors.

- No designated parking area, nearest is on-street parking at Maes y Deri or Hall Street (behind Brynaman Cinema) Please don't block local residents access.
- Free to enter.
- The rough, steep forest trails are not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. No disabled access.
- Dog friendly, but please clean up any mess.
- The river banks are slippery and rocky, please take care.
- No facilities on site. Shop, toilets, cafe are to the east of the site at the Black Mountain Centre.
