Following south from Llanelli beach along the coast path, on foot or on bicycle, you'll find not just another great, sandy beach but a large wetlands area, home to the Llanelli Wetlands Centre. Parking is Pay and Display at Llanelli beach or Bynea (either end of the peninsula) Cafe and toilets at the Wetlands Centre, Machynys Golf Club or Gateway Resort. The whole area is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, a mixture of fine grit and tarmac surface and fairly flat (except for the cycle bridge at Bynea). It's a long, traffic free route around the peninsula, I'd recommend a bicycle if travelling the whole length but the beach at the western end is fairly close to Llanelli beach car park.
