YOU ARE HERE: HOME WATERFALL COUNTRY
Take a journey through a land of ancient stone pathways, moss covered trees, roaring cascades and ghostly mists. Part of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (formerly known as the Brecon Beacons National Park), this is a place where beauty and mystery truly exist together.
Parking is free at various points (see map below), although a fee is charged at Gwaun Hepste and Cwm Porth.
Walking through Waterfall Country feels like wandering into a world untouched by time. Each step along the meandering woodland trails brings the sound of rushing water ever closer, echoing throughout the river valleys. Paths twist beneath towering trees draped in moss, while soft mist from the waterfalls cools the air. Around every corner, another cascade appears - sudden, powerful, and stunningly beautiful, pouring into deep emerald pools below dark stone cliffs.
Walking here becomes more than just another countryside walk, it feels like crossing into another realm where nature still holds its old magic, wild beauty, and untold stories.
The thunder of falling water echoes through the valleys.
