YOU ARE HERE: HOME MARGAM COUNTRY PARK
Spread over some 850 acres Margam Country Park is a mix of diverse woodland and grassland, winding trails for walking and cycling, beautiful lakes and gardens and plenty of wildlife. Parking is Pay and Display.
One of the dominating features of the park is the 19th century, Tudor-Gothic Margam Castle, with surrounding walled gardens, the entrance and staircase hall being open to the public. Visitor Centre, Cafe and Gift Shop are located near here. Just a short distance away is the famous Orangery, built in the 1790s to house orange, lemon and other citrus fruit trees, today it's used as an event venue but there's a renovated citrus house nearby worth visiting.
Farm Trail, Go Ape Experience, Deer Park, spectacular viewpoints, Adventure Play Area, Fairytale Land, Orangery and Gardens, Dog Agility Area, Cycling Trails, superb walking routes through forests, open parkland and over mountains, taking you through Iron Age hillfort locations and ancient church remains, not forgetting all kinds of events held throughout the year. There's such a lot more to see and do at Margam Park, visit the website for more details... one visit really isn't enough!
Vast and beautiful throughout the seasons

Car access to the main car park is off the A48 (Pay and Display). There's limited free parking on the A48 near the main entrance and near the pond by the Stone Museum off the A48 (Follow Stone Museum brown sign), the main car park is the best option though. National Cycle Network's Route 4 runs straight through the park. In fact, most of the paths within the park are family cycle friendly.
